The Gathering

Every Tuesday night at 7 pm we come together to celebrate community, discuss the Bible, and connect with God through worship. This all happens at the Danforth Chapel in Hubbard Park, right next to the IMU.

This year's discussion will be based around the book of Acts.

Discipleship Groups

We believe it’s essential to have people around us to help encourage and challenge us to grow in our faith.

Freshmen Group

Monday at 7pm at the Space (325 E. Washington). This group will be going through the Gospel of John together.

Men's Group

Wednesday at 7pm at the Space. This group will be going through Mere Chrsitianity by CS Lewis.

Women's Group

Thursday at 7pm at a student's apartment, email ccf.uiowa@gmail.com for more details.

Intro to the Bible Groups

Thursday at 3:30pm at the University Library group study rooms (RED). This group is specifically for those that have never read the Bible to be able to ask questions about anything they encounter in the text. It is a great opportunity to investigate Chrsitianity while asking honest questions.

Ped Mall Outreach

Friday at 9pm at the Space. This group serves the campus by handing out water on Friday nights to the crowd in the Ped Mall.

About Us

We are a University of Iowa student organization that seeks a Christ-centered approach to living life, developing faith, and making a difference in the world.

CCF Staff:

John Johnson, Campus Minister – John began in campus ministry as a student at Western Illinois University where he led worship, served as a small group leader, and realized the incredible opportunity that campus ministry presents. Because of this he now works at CCF in Iowa. Prior to coming to Iowa City he completed a Master in Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary with an emphasis in Worship Studies. John has a passion for board games, Chicago sports teams, movies, and leading others into a deeper relationship with Christ. He is the guy that tends to speak during the Gathering and he will warm you with his sense of humor, charm, and humility. On top of all of these attributes John's life is made busier and more enjoyable because of his wife Mandy and son Brennan.

Amanda Redlinger, Campus Minister - Hi! My name is Amanda Redlinger and I'm the women's Campus Minister at CCF Iowa. I'm originally from Iowa City but went to Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago for my undergrad and am currently working on a Masters in Social Work from Iowa. My passions in life include music, reading, the great outdoors, traveling, coffee (especially if I'm drinking it over a deep conversation), Disney movies, and my awesome family (which includes my parents, my 3 crazy sisters and brother-in-law, my adorable niece, and my husband who is the love of my life). I also love spending time with people, whether that means just hanging out and having fun or discussing the deeper things of life. However, the most important aspect of my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ and my greatest passion is helping other women know Him more.

Mission Statement

Engaging students where they are and equipping them to follow Christ so they might impact the world through Him.
